Gary Martin reached his last finish line as a high school runner for Archbishop Wood Catholic in a perfect hometown setting Sunday at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.

Martin and his signature glasses and mop of curls pressed through a final mile, but breezy conditions prevented him crashing through the four-minute barrier for the third time this spring. He finished in 4:03.57 to win the New Balance Nationals Outdoor title.

"After the first lap or two, I was like let's do what we have to do to win and don't worry about the time so much," Martin said. "Just win a national championship."

Martin ended his season on the track where he won his first Penn Relays title in April.

Bullis of Maryland enjoyed a couple of big wins near the end of the meet, with the girls 4x400-meter relay team lowering its US#1 slightly to 3:40.73 for the title.

That came shortly after the girls won the 4x100 relay in 45.96, edging South Dade Express TC of Florida (46.04) in an exciting race.

And prior to that, Aidan McDuffie scored a bit of an upset when he beat 100-meter champion T'Mars McCallum in the boys 200 meters final, 20.95 to 20.98.

Stow-Munroe Falls OH pulled off a victory in the boys 4x400 relay from outside the fastest section, getting a big 46.53-second carry from Xavier Preston on the anchor. Stow's time of 3:15.78 held up for the NBNO title.

Alyssa Jones from South Dade Express FL jumped a wind-legal US#1 mark of 21-2.50 (6.46m) to win the girls long jump.

Tarik Robinson-O'Hagan got a little bit of revenge against his New England throwing rival, Max Klein, in the shot put.

Klein won the New Balance Nationals Indoor shot put by two centimeters over Robinson-O'Hagan in March.

On Sunday, it was Robinson-O'Hagan hitting his best throw on his sixth attempt to move ahead of Klein (65-7/19.88m) and win the outdoor title (66-3.25/20.20m).

Shea Greene from Weston CT launched a season's best throw of 160 feet (48.76m) to win the girls javelin competition.

Jasmine Harmon from ATL Zoom of Georgia won the girls 100-meter hurdles in 13.44 seconds.

Jason Holmes-Williamson of Calvert Hall Cardinals MD won the boys 110-meter hurdles final in 13.61.

Madison Whyte from Canes VA won the girls 200 meters in 23.30.

Gregory Foster, Jr. from Lawrenceville NJ popped a big sixth-round jump of 25-6.25 (7.77m) to win the long jump for his second title of the weekend.

Hannah Boyle, a junior from Liverpool, N.Y., moved up two spots with a 65.27-second final lap and won the girls mile in 4:42.11.

In the boys high jump, Dakota Arana from Shippensburg won the title with a clearance at 6-9 (2.05m).

Katie Becker from Lititz PA won the girls high jump with 5-9.25 (1.75m).
